Dreamt that I woke up on a bus around 4 am and realized I was on the way home from a second job I couldn’t remember doing, which probably says something about my state of mind.
Meanwhile at my waking-life job I’ve just been informed that I’ve used up all my vacation and sick days and will have to take a pay cut in order to go to my next dental appointment. At least fillings are still covered under my benefits (caps are not, so I’ve told the dentist to hold off on those until lol whenever).

Date: 2020-09-10 01:14 pm (UTC)From:Also I was scolded when I got in this morning for having left two minutes early yesterday; which *was* stupid of me, and due mainly to absent-mindedness and boredom (I didn’t actually have anything left to do, and I glanced at the clock but should have stayed in my seat an extra 120 seconds in case anyone was watching).
I get simultaneously impatient with being treated this way by people, and guilt-ridden that I must be doing something to deserve being treated like an irresponsible child even though I’m forty-five. Though having done the math I’m beginning to tell myself that if my pay works out around $14/hr not counting my commute time and I have no decision-making authority of any kind, how do they expect me to behave?

We didn’t have a company-branded calendar printed for 2020 last year, and I got sick of looking at the space where the 2019 calendar previously hung so I brought a small painting from home.
Arghh!

Toothless promises
Date: 2020-09-12 03:33 am (UTC)From:The dentistry association has been "studying" the issue, along with all of the technologies that could probably totally eliminate tooth decay by killing off the bacteria that cause it, for about half a century now. I think that the results of their "pondering" might fill up the back of an unused postage stamp.
