green_trilobite wound up in emergency, and will be there for a few days. I really really have to get better at watching his diet and blood sugar levels. >:(

9pm update:
Good news - green_trilobite called me after work to let me know he'd been allowed to go home once they gave him a blood-sugar meter, a prescription, and a talking-to about looking after himself better. I will try to make sure he sticks to it this time.

Sort of ironically, this was this week's PI episode. Carl tends to have the opposite problem from grren_trilobite.

I'm a bit tired (we didn't find out until 3 am that they'd be keeping him for a few days); I plan to check in on him tonight after work and see how he's doing, if there's anything he wants me to bring, etc - Will update then.

Double Yikes!

Don't hesitate to ask for any help you two might need: errands done while you're at work and so on. Does Andrew want any visitors?

Will ask him when I see him tonight - I'm at work during the day, so he might welcome the distration - otoh, he doesn't genrally like people to see him when he's not well.

Personally, I blame that gateshow.

Anyway, my best wishes to you both, and please let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

No, this has been building for a while - I started forgetting to make him drink water or Crystal Lite (tm) instead of sweetened fruit juice - and especially in summer, he chugs fruit juice constantly. Also, because I'm used to him suffering depression, if he feels cruddy I tend to assume it's mental rather than physical. It's probably just as well some volunteers at the Ex insisted on calling the paramedics, or this would have kept getting worse. Bright side is that with any luck, most of the grogginess his suffered the last few weeks will turn out to be the result of the high blood sugar and will clear up once his blood does.

Yes, the heatwaves are a considerable temptation to muck up your diet.

My husband's done that, but thankfully not for such a long stay.

To you *Hugs*, to him best wishes to be better soon.
