Weekend Report
Feb. 3rd, 2019 07:44 pmTemperature creeping up a bit which is welcome. The headache that began Friday afternoon less so— it takes a couple of Mylan a day to keep it at bay, and luckily my remaining supply lasted until it was over, but I hope I don’t get another until at least mid-February when I can get the prescription refilled without question.
Tumblr is having another log-off protest— this one I only found out about the other day, but it’s supposed to be for a week. Tediously, I keep logging on, remembering I’m not supposed to be there, and leaving again.
We had lunch yesterday at the home of cousins I see every couple of years, along with my parents, brother, aunt and uncle, and another cousin. I’d been going to try making aquafaba meringues to bring (one cousin is vegan and my brother has a wheat-gluten sensitivity) but in the end I just brought the avocado chocolate mousse I’ve made before for such occasions. At least it continues to be well-received; one of the non-vegan cousins asked if there was amaretto in it (there isn’t— I think she must have been tasting the combination of coconut cream and vanilla extract.)
Posted another chapter of 1983 today — this makes two weeks in a row I’ve posted chapters for the same fic, but they’ve been fairly short chapters. In this instalment, the negotiations between Elena Makropulos and Miriam Blaylock continue, Hauk-Sendorf feels bad about various things, and Lohmann and Skuld are getting impatient.
