A minor thing to get annoyed by

but I spent the past couple of weeks designing the company holiday card, had multiple drafts rejected, then eventually tweaked multiple drafts as requested, then finally my supervisor gave it a few more tweaks and ok’d it for me to release to the rest of the company for use in emails.

Five minutes ago he sent me a completely different design that (I assume) he came up with last night or this morning, and told me to email everybody to use this one instead, leaving me wondering what all my work was even for.

Also I don’t know where he’s keeping the photoshop file so I can make the personalized version that our CEO wants.

(Also, I think this new version is ugly and unreadable compared with all the previous drafts, and I just noticed a typo)

(ETA – turns out one of the bosses made this card himself and insisted we use it; suspect my supervisor’s as annoyed as I am. This also probably means we don’t have access to the file to alter anything)

Update—received the Photoshop file, fixed the spelling error (on all layers) and changed the text for our CEO’s personalized version. I still think the design is hideous and illegible, but the top brass picked it, so it’s their problem now.
