Got Andrew’s ativan refilled, because the past few weeks have been stressful and he ran out early. Got my hair trimmed in a salon at the mall; a nice hairdresser named Timothy took me right away as a walk-in and we commiserated about Thursday’s election results. He did point out that Ford has announced he won't have any involvement with the Pride parade unless the police are allowed to march in it in uniform*... we agreed the parade could happily do without either......
* If they attend in uniform they’re technically there on duty and get paid for their time; as the parade began as a protest against the Bathhouse Raids, and as the police took until this year to catch a serial killer who’d been preying on gay men for years, maybe decades, they’re not very popular with the Toronto LGBT community at the moment....
