but on the strength of this trailer I’ve begun checking AO3 for fics. As of today, still none. Maybe they’re all in German. https://youtu.be/uekZpkYf7-E

My hope is that someone will write a crossover with M or Testament of Dr. Mabuse, but Inspector Lohmann already has his hands so full, I’m unsure if he could deal with any more borderline-supernatural conspiracies or twisted murderers. Plus he’s an honest police inspector, so some faction would probably assassinate him, though if that happened, he might discover his death rated Valkyries *and* a car. He might even finally get an evening off work.

Follow up— looks as though the original series title is Mordkommission Berlin (ETA no that’s a movie from 2015). Still can’t find it on AO3. Lohmann was apparently based closely on a real criminologist, Ernst Gennat, who shows up at least once in Babylon Berlin.
