Need to actually knuckle down and complete some of my own projects that have been languishing. Didn’t do much this weekend, but enjoyed some consumerism, i.e. finally admitted I need new winter boots, and got some pretty nice ones from Mark’s Work Warehouse, which is having a post-Xmas/getting rid of winter items sale; I’d also got Andrew a cardigan from there earlier in the week. And I found a quite nice purse at the thrift store, whose handles aren’t worn out, and look as though they can be replaced fairly easily when they are.
Things have been getting busy again at work (multiple people needed me to print labels/convert things to pdf/update spec sheets/burn files to cds for their respective projects) but I think I’m managing to keep on top of it; need to recheck the pdf whose pages I was reordering on Friday afternoon, because the weather caused everyone to head out early and Yuri was getting anxious for me to finish that task so he could lock up.
My stomach bothered me intermittently Thursday through Saturday, wasn’t as bad today. I don’t know if it was something I’d eaten; I don’t think it’s stress. I’m trying to cook proper food on the weekends, given that weekdays all meal planning is based on “what can I heat up as fast as possible, given that I don’t get in the door until seven pm.” “Proper meals” merely meaning that Friday night I cooked some pork chops in a skillet, Saturday night I made Kraft dinner with flaked tuna, and this afternoon I did some chicken breasts in the often. None of these are things that should have triggered any problems.
Reread the posts by sovay and others about The Last Flight — there was a link to an online version, but the format won’t work for me. In other hyperlocal entertainment news, Nana has become really interested in getting up close to the tv screen. I don’t know whether she’s looking at her reflection, or has realized that it causes Andrew to get out the laser pointer as a distraction.
