My BPAL imps arrived. sweetmusic27, you were supposed to kep the Hellcat for yourself. Will you be in town anytime soon, or shall I mail it back to you? (it smells deliciously of brown sugar, even through the bubble wrap)

So far, Whip (roses and leather - mostly roses) is terrific. I think I'll have to test the others on seperate days, because whenever I opened a bottle it would get on me, and after a while they all ran together and I smelt like a new age shop. However, I think Black Pearl & Delerium will be pretty good, Ryl'eh is indeed very green/watery-smelling, probably a summertime scent, White Rabbit is odd but pleasant, and I hope that Jack and Black Forest will live up to my expectations. BPAL also included Urd and Seraphim. I think I like Urd better.

Yay! It got there safely. Don't mind me, I was completely asleep that morning and automatically put the package in the mailer before even coming close to remembering. I blame midterms. If you want to mail it back, that'd be great, though I'm in no hurry - I just don't think I or Benet will be in T.O. in the next months. (Mmmm, brown sugar...) I'm glad that White Rabbit is pleasant - there's a part of me that just bounces gleefully at their Mad Tea Party collection and wants to try them all.

I'm trying Jack today, but unfortunately, while it smells exactly as promised, it seems pumpkins, pumpkin pie spices and butter are kind of cloying on me. I spent the morning trying to decide if it was because it was over-sweet or not sweet enough, and eventually decided the problem is that it's too mellow and rounded. Guess I'm sharper and spikier than I thought (Whip was fabulous on me). The up side to this is if I try Cathode, Ultraviolet, Mantis etc, next spring, they'll probably be great on me.
