moon_custafer: neon cat mask (acme)
Slowly managing to use up my fabric scraps. I did another version of this early-'30s blouse. I'd already done one in satin (where I had enough to cut on the bias instead of on the grain as the pattern indicates) and a slightly-less versatile one in dark green mystery-polyester stuff. Today's was in a peach-coloured linen-y fabric. I cut on the grain and did French seams. Instead of the three keyholes at the front of the neckline, I added a little tab/loop that I can thread scarves, etc, through. I also finally tried the removable collar shown in the pattern, and it's actually pretty cute, and easy enough I plan to make another in a contrasting fabric.

Verdict -- this is not a pattern for the large-busted, or for those days when one wants to maximize a small bust; but it's quick and easy, and the changeable collars and bows add versatility and keep it from looking too much like hospital scrubs.
