This weekend I finally saw The Shining. Not as frightening, somehow, as I'd expected, but I enjoyed its fearful symmetry.
Then right afterward when I checked my email, I found a link to a brilliant parody trailer: Shining - The Feel-good Movie of the Year!. I had to find a different link here at work, because our office computers have the Viral Video site locked, but here's a link from Making Light. Apparently it was created for a competition held by the Association of Independent Creative Editors; other entries included Psycho as a romantic comedy (I watched that one too - not as good) and West Side Story as a zombie flick.
