Augh. Why does my morning walk to work have to take me past an apartment building that (a) has a colony of feral cats living around it, and (b) sit at the intersection of two busy streets?
This morning's body was, I'm pretty sure, that of the beautiful six-month-old tabby I noticed lurking behind a shrub on Monday. That's three days ago. By the time I head home this evening the maggots will be at work, but the skin and bones will remain for weeks until someone comes around to remove them.
