Dream 1: Someone was remaking a movie which, in the dream, had the iconic status of Psycho. It wasn't Psycho, although the lead character looked like Norman Bates and his house looked like the Bates mansion, because there was no motel; he had neighbours nearby and seemed to be fairly sociable and well-liked; and he had a butler. Also, instead of taxidermy, his hobby was watercolour painting. I think he still killed people though, although the trailer never got around to that part; it focussed on being ominous and atmospheric. Everyone sneered and predicted the remake would be awful, but I was intrigued by the trailer. There was an animated sequence based on the central character's watercolour paintings, and a bit in which he gets tired of his butler's devotion to duty and handcuffs him during a party so that he can serves drinks to the guests himself.
Dream 2: After I noticed the woman-with-hands-for-feet from Aon Flux, the scene shifted to something dim and foggy, through which I could make out an enormous sculpted head. I could hear conversation drifting from somewhere, and at first I thought people were camped out in one of the statue's eye-sockets, but it turned out the voices were coming from a hot-air balloon floating overhead.
The balloon descended on the lawn of an estate, and its occupants apologized to the owners and went back to town, but they had caught the attention of a conspiracy. The dream became somewhat confusing at this point, but the conspiracy identified themselves to each other by dressing in pink, and one of their targets was the owner of a large comic-book shop in a pseudo-Moorish-style building.
