Wading in the Jury Pool

So, first day of jury duty was just the morning -- there were a couple of hundred people called in, so after we watched the arraignment, they drew names to sort us into groups of twenty, and gave each group a time to come back tomorrow for the start of the actual selection process. I'm not on call until 2:45, so I told my office I'll be in for the morning and head out at lunch.
