Occasionally I watch the CGI Clone Wars show on Teletoon with green_trilobite. I'm not wild about the animation style, though I don't hate it either. I find I like the writing, though: it's one of the few things I've seen since B5 that shows characters actually engaging in politics - i.e., trying to form or break up alliances.

It's also the only thing I think I've seen that writes clones as individuals who just happen to all share the same genes; a literal band of brothers.

Visually, the clones look as though they use tattooing and varying hairstyles to individualize their standard-issue bodies as they use paint and decals to mod their armour; and the episode playing now is about them debating among themselves what to do about a CO who they realize is deliberately trying to get them killed. I'm not sure if they have different voice actors or one actor doing slightly different voices for each.

I've just become increasingly amused by the ret-conning of Temuera Morrison's voice onto every stormtrooper in both the original series and Revenge of the Sith, plus Boba Fett on top. I mean, I'm glad he's working, but...(shrugs)

I've gotta say, the parts of Clone Wars I've seen I've really enjoyed. It gives Anakin the right build-up; I liked one ep. in which Asoka was boasting to some other Jedi-in-training that her Master would do "whatever it took!" Cut to Anakin Force-choking some poor dude, like the psychic monk equivalent of Vic Mackey with his phone-book.

I was happy assuming that by the time of the original series, all the original clones (except Fett) were long-dead, and the Empire was forced to recruit average Joes.

I know what you mean about the animation style...bit blocky. I found it a bit offputting at first, but got used to it...only really watched a few times. Hoping Kit Fisto would show up, because yay green tentacle-headed smilin' background Jedi!
(sometimes I think I'm deeply shallow, just with wildly misfiring biological imperative circuits)

He did. I don't think he had a single line of dialogue since the whole thing was underwater lol
