A guy who started out making hand extensions for cosplay is now working with a man who lost two whole fingers and two half-fingers in a accident, to make a homebrew prosthetic. So far they've come up with a tip for the index finger, which judging by the video already makes a big difference.

I was impressed by the simplicity of how it fits on. Of course it helps that the wearer has a couple of half-fingers, so there's something to work the prosthetic.

Well things Japanese were always at the forefront of prosthetics ever since that project to help ex-Yakuza members integrate into societies by replacing the fingers they got chopped off for making mistakes while in the gangs.
