Dreamt that greygirlbeast had written a novel in which several characters were botanists/classicists, and that Hollywood had optioned this particular story with the intent to turn it into a rom-com.

In the dream I kept trying to tell handful_ofdust that I thought the rom-com version was actually far darker than the original, since it was about a "love triangle" that was actually more like "guy loves girl but she hates herself too much to believe he really loves her, so instead she pushes him into stalking a celebrity." The celebrity in question being the botanist/classicist, who was also (a) trans, (b) "the richest woman in the world" (yeah, unlikely for a botanist/classicist, I know) and (c) had a large and opinionated cat.

handful_ofdust was too busy driving a large van to listen, however.

You need to find someone to make your dark rom-com; it sounds cool. First get greygirlbeast to write the story, I guess, though.

The "driving a large van" thing must've been how you knew it was a dream.;)
