Sewing News - Axis Defeated!

So, I was feeling good about my recently acquired patchwork skills and decided to make a throw-pillow as a belated Mother's Day gift. When finished, it looked good except, um, the pattern kind of looked like a swastika. I ran it by the LSG* discussion group on Ravelry, and at least half of them saw it too. However, following one suggestion, I added an applique in the centre to break it up and I think it's worked. Democracy FTW.

Crypto-fascism is so annoying. The dividers of the compartments under my coffee table make a swastika too!

It's either a swastika or a ninja star.....a plaid ninja star. Which is actually kinda cool...
