But Flickr won't let me post directly. Holding the side closed because the zipper hasn't been installed yet. The skirt has been cut out and awaits seaming. The pleats in front have me a little worried.

ETA - Dress is now complete except for zipper; I ran it through the wash to see if any of the seams would fall apart but everything seems to be ok.

No -- there's a foofy option but I decided to try the straight skirt for a change. The whole thing looks rather Mad Men; I shall have to find a suitable brooch to pin to it.

Lol, I'd destroy a dress like that. My stride is too long for tight longer skirts....the only one I have is empire waisted and ankle-length; the seam on one side is split because I can't seem to shorten my steps without almost falling over. : /
It's tutus or nothing, over here.

I still need to repair that dress of mine...I figure if I just make a slit to mid-calve instead of a seam, it ought to improve matters dramatically.
