Had lunch with green_trilobite, handful_ofdust and her family, and Jason and Jenn and their kids, at the Pickle Barrel; afterwards hung out in the surrounding mall for a while. The kids were all pretty well-behaved; Kira remains the calmest and yet most alert baby I've ever met; she waved to us when we left.

ToysRUs had some of the Monster High dolls marked down, so I picked up one of the build-a-monster started packs I'd been curious about. The only trouble is, you only get one torso (you get two heads, two sets of limbs and two outfits) so it only matches the skin tone of one of the sets of limbs. Nice articulation, though.

Tomorrow I start a week-long temp assignment doing inventory.

Yeah, the weird only-one-torso thing has made me reluctant as well. Though one of the packs has like...a bone-design dress with it.....and I think I saw one with skeleton limbs, an' all. I may crack on that one eventually. :D

The skeleton limbs are in an expansion pack. I might try repainting - I don't like the vampire head as much as the sea-monster head, so it can be practice material; meanwhile, I suppose I could just make a dress that covers more of the torso.

This is true. They're oddly proportioned, though...I've been too nervous to try making anything on that tiny scale so far. Barbie clothes look comically oversized on them. XD
