Day one - only went to one Friday event, namely the "steampunk a hat" one, which, with only two audience members and lots of supplies, turned into the make-a-hat *workshop* (I eschewed the hats and just made a fascinator out of the garnishes).

Haven't deployed the apple pie yet, decided to save it for tonight as other drinks were being served at the Friday night parties. It's nice to go to a party in a hotel where you have a room. You can stay up late, knowing that your bed is just down the hall; mind you if it's only just down the hall, you may have to learn to sleep through the sound of the party still going on...

ETA - the hospitality suite has an "attack of the bacon memes" theme going on.

No - it's a party, we happen to be sleeping on the party floor, I don't want to spoil their good time - besides, none (well almost none) were actually yelling, it was just the hum of a lot of people conversing.
