Fired again, for making too many errors. The frustrating thing was that I'd thought I was doing well - they kept giving me more things to do and I'd thought I was juggling them successfully. (Whining below cut...)

My version of what happened is that I made three errors *in front of the manager* in the past week; but getting fired from a job you actually enjoy is a lot like being dumped; you keep replaying everything in your head, wondering what you could have done differently so they wouldn't have rejected you.

Maybe the manager got sick of me forgetting to punch the clock at lunch and having to ask him to correct the time sheet.

If I'd written down the pick-up number for that Fedex parcel yesterday (and I freely admit it was stupid, stupid of me not to), would he have forgiven me for emailing Operations about an issue and cc-ing him, instead of just going through him?

If I'd found the box of glow-tape the customers had left behind *before* they called to complain it was missing, instead of only being able to say "but I remember bringing it to their work table," would I still have a job?

It also itches that I'd got just more than half-way through sorting those damn laminated signs and putting them into order when I had to leave; it's like not being able to finish a jigsaw puzzle; and did I spend too much time organizing the signs? They told me to, but maybe I should have focussed on more immediate issues.

Well, back to the drawing board dole queue temp agency on Monday.

Hardly whining. I'm really sorry, man.
