My morning commute takes me past a strip club called The House of Lancaster. I find myself wondering why – were trying to attract the history-buff crowd, or did they just think it sounded classier than, say, ‘Jiggles?’
Their website sure is ugly. No historical info though it does say it's been operating for 35 jiggly years....maybe they just wanted to use a lot of red roses in their advertising?
Maybe they were being considerate to neighbors in giving a classy landmark name? For quite some time directions to my step-son's apartment included "take a right at Filly's". "Take a right at the House of Lancaster" sounds infinitely better.
