How does Tintin give his name on official forms? Does he write “First name: Tin, Last name: Tin?”

He travels a lot, so I can’t believe this never comes up.

Maybe he's from some place where you only get one name so the duplication of the "Tin" is just due to those forms. I once knew a Mongolian whose only name was "Yao". Due to surname requirements he became "Yao Yao".

Yes! Last time he went to England, he had to spend two months in quarantine to make sure he didn't have rabies. At least he had Snowy for company.

Incidentally, if you image-google "blue lotus," you get pictures of blue flowers, and occasionally sports cars. You have to add "the" to get pictures from the Tintin album.
