At Mel's Delicatessen (which may now be called Montreal's Deli?) a mother with two small sons was awaiting her husband at a nearby table. Himself had acquired a bunch of Spectre ("THE WRATH OF GOD!") comics and the kids noticed the horrific covers. Mommy's bid to distract them? Reading them the newspaper comic strips; which not being meant for children either, required her to explain a) sexual assault (Doonsbury), b) cross-dressing (I don't know which strip) and c) Viggo Mortensen (Zits).
