I didn't realise anyone who actually lived there called it The Big Smoke. 'S what grandpa used to call Toronto.

I have to keep reminding mum that 'they' didn't all vote him in and lots of people who didn't are gonna get screwed riiight along with the idiots who did.

I've never actually heard it called that in a live conversation; you're more likely to hear "Hogtown."

AFAIK, almost nobody living *in* the city voted Ford, it was all the suburban communities in the Greater Toronto Areas, (i.e. very pro-car, not so pro-public transit) who did so.

I always have to look up your acronyms. And that sucks :( Your poor bike lanes, murdered by suburbanites....
