Found the Alice is Dead games via Making Light. To avoid spoilers, I won't say much about the games themselves, except that Episodes 2 and 3 struck me as way different in style from Episode 1 (actually they were all different, but 2 and 3 were closer to each other than either was to 1); also, I agree with those who complain 3 left a lot of unanswered questions; and, I admit I had to google a walk-through and refer to it in a few places.

My main reaction, though, was to google Henry Hall (the singer on the soundtrack of Episode 1)*; and wonder if his appearance and delivery influenced Margery Allingham's creation of Albert Campion.




*Apparently the same song is on the soundtrack to Bioshock 2 - old novelty hits from the 1920s must be the new spooky music-box tunes.

Awwwww I love little games like that. Trixie and I used to go through the Escape the _____ series seeing who could finish them first.

After a while, though, I recall one games anthology site summing up the latest as "oh no, that crazy guy has kidnapped you, wiped your memory and locked you in a room again. At least he always leaves lots of clues lying about."
