It IS his traumatized hunch! I wonder who Moreau is supposed to have lost, or if we'll ever find out. Assuming he'll still exist after whatever the hell that was, or exist as a Bad Guy (assuming his reaction to the music is taken as pointing to something about someone close to him who died when/because of whatever the hell was going on after good Walter and / or bad Walter and existant Peter and / or nonexistant Peter triggered the machine that also may or may not actually wind up having ever existed).
Ok yeah - as far as convoluded messes go, I think I prefer the X-Files, so far. :/

Poor Saavedro. Lol. The first time I got to the end I just gave him everything he wanted and didn't even realize that was the wrong choice until I got back and Atrus was like, 'Soooooo, where's the book?'
And I thought, 'Ohhhhh right!'
