At Jane and Lawrence, there is a small sign advertising a tailoring business called “God’s Favour Sewing & Design.” There’s a picture of a gold lame evening gown. Every time I see it, I mean to tell people about it; and then I forget to do so. It’s the Silence of odd business names.

I suppose it's possible if god really DOES favour gold lamé, that explains why people wear it even though it's dead uncomfortable.

I just keep wondering if the owner is really religious (albeit in an unorthodox way) or if s/he meant to call the business something like “Divine Fashions” but the name went through a mistranslation…
