This afternoon, Himself's mom will be brought for a trial run to see if she can get up the three flights of stairs to her apartment. Pretty much all future plans (rehab vs. permanent nursing home) depend on what happens today. Also, the cat is awake and demanding, and I can't sleep, so here's a sketch of the local police marine unit station, part of an attempt on my part to get into a group show scheduled for this summer.

Yesterday I finally figured out that Mitch Hedberg, the comedian who died a few days ago, was the guy whose bit "as a kid I used to lie awake at night in my twin-size bed...wondering where my brother was..." gets run over and over again on Just for Laughs. Damn, I thought, I liked that guy. Last night I was upset over something, and brooding over it, but also not sure if my feelings were real or because I need to get my prescription for Celexa renewed (cue Marv, in Sin City: "When you have a condition, it's bad to forget your medicine.") and later I thought about Mitch Hedberg again and after all the bad stuff that's been happening in the last month or so, that, for some reason, made me cry. I feel a bit better this morning, though right now my stomach is kind of antsy. It's all nerves.
