I'm actually particularly amused that he found/chose to work with maybe the one other guy in New York State who's bigger than him. On a fucking slasher musical.
The funny thing is that, not only does this seem different than what most people would do, it's different than what I'd expect D'onofrio to do. I mean, I watched that half-hour film he did about Orson Welles - it was good, but it didn't exactly surprise me that he'd done something of the sort; whereas I've never lain awake at night thinking, "hey, you know who should do a slasher musical? Vincent D'onofrio!"
