ETA - you know, I think there was a character in Ronald Firbank's Valmouth who wore spiked garters, but these are for those with less ascetic intentions.

Wangie's illustrations remind me of Kaluta's stuff in "StarStruck": which was also full of fabulous fashions.

I've always wanted Tabi socks but I would have to shop in Sumo-sizes to berth my big feet.
