(no subject)

Poor green_trilobite was sick all night - I don't know if it was something he ate, or changes in air pressure hurting his insides; I've had a headache this morning which I'm pretty sure is due to an incoming thunderstorm. The only symptom of age that I've had to cope with so far is this tendency for everything to turn into a barometer, and I can't say I like it.

On a happier note, I seem to have passed the the first two interviews towards a possible permanent job placement.

In three panels, why I hate the phrase "first-world problems" (also the song 'Streets of London.') I've been meaning to draw this for a while, and finally did today because I've thought of a more subtle problem with "first-world problems;" which is that it implies that people living in the third world don't have any aspirations beyond immediate survival, and don't worry about, frex, complex interpersonal relationships, etiquette, their status within their local communities, looking good, or what sort of long-term future they'd like to have. You know, the stuff that makes us fully-rounded human beings.
