Latest Dream

Last night’s main dream involved swarms of tiny Barbie-dolls attacking people. Several characters were in an art gallery, clambered up onto a large piece of modern sculpture to keep out of the dolls’ reach (luckily, the dolls couldn’t jump). At one point someone asked why they didn’t just stomp on the dolls – I don’t know why, but their plan instead seemed to involve trying to reverse one of the dolls into an avatar for the heroine (who, being a Hollywood leading lady, sort of looked like a live Barbie anyway) so she could go down to the floor and fight them on their own level.

There was also an indication that the doll attacks were triggered by pornography, which led to a scandal when a bunch of dolls massacred the residents of a seniors home because omg, the old people must have been looking at porn. This led to a middle-aged nurse with a plummy British accent stating that yes, she *had* shown the patients porn, and she’d do it again - at least they had died happy – no doubt very confused, but happy.

O-kay....

Well. Hum.

The easter-egg dye experiment was not a great success. I probably should have read the tutorial all the way through before beginning - apparently with egg dye you have to leave the yarn in for *up to several hours* for the colour to take. I've been spoiled by Kool-Aid dyeing, where you dunk the yarn in and it literally sucks the colour out of the water instantly; and holds onto it for dear life. Now I've got stained hands, and a multi-coloured but pallid lace shawl.

I think I'll wait for it to dry, and then overdye it with Kool-Aid like nature intended.
