I went back to full-time work today for the first time in a few months, while at home, green_trilobite and the cats faced: (a) a workman coming in to patch the kitchen ceiling (fortunately he’s been to the apartment before and they don’t dislike him); (b) yet another test of the fire-alarm system (at least this one was deliberate); and (c) one of the upper-story windows breaking and glass falling past our balcony.
