I'm not sure if I'm qualified to participate in this - the one thing I've published (semi) professionally already appeared in this LJ first. However, because I should get cracking soon on a Supervillain sequel (as well as talk to kelpqueen about Episode II), here's a little bit of work-in progress:

This may be a hoax, but apparently, the Lake District Tourism Board didn't get its usual government subsidy because as a tourist destination, it mainly appeals to white middle-aged people. Unfortunately, their response was to try and draw a more diverse crowd with this video of a man in a squirrel costume performing a bad rap version of Wordsworth's 'Daffodils,' while breakdancing in a picturesque rural landscape. I think they've managed with a single stroke to alienate Wordsworth fans, hip-hop fans, and possibly Furries.*
This dressage performance over at Cuteoverload has a much better sublime-to-ridiculous ratio. As one commenter posts, "the rest of the mammalian kingdom just got served."

Addendum - the footage isn't as good, but here's a horse and rider from (by the looks of it) the Spanish Riding School, doing a similar routine to Sing Sing Sing.

*(further addendum) This G&S-style take on Baby Got Back on the other hand, is delightful.
