Mr Fixit + Pool Noodle
Apr. 3rd, 2007 11:37 pmWhile arranging the new acquisitions from World Horror, green_trilobite discovered the end bookcase in the library had a wobble. This was not the fault of the case (it was made by Amish cabinet-makers), but of the flooring - due to the design of our building, the rooms don't have 90-degree corners anyway, and I think temperature and humidity flunctuations due to the season have been plying merry hell with the wooden floors. However he has wedged a five-dollar pool noodle, sliced lengthwise, between the back of the cabinet and the wall to stablise it, and the new blinds have gone up, so his library is dark enough for his vampire senses, and all is well for the time being, except I think some small object keeps tipping over.
