Apr. 2nd, 2007 12:32 amWorld Horror was a blast - green_trilobite decided at the last moment to get a room rather than commute back and forth all weekend, and even managed to get one at the con rate. We still had to go back and forth to check on the cats, and to ferry back acquisitions so we didn't have an enormous amount of luggage by Sunday - when he wasn't takng photos for the Friends of the Merril, he spent the week buying books and getting them autographed by the likes of Ramsay Campbell, Brian Lumley, Gahan Wilson and Joe R. Lonsdale (whose daughter, he reports, is a delightful person). I went to a couple of panels to see Gahan Wilson, who made some interesting points about art, and described pretty much everyone he'd ever met as "sweet." I made my literary debut, with Episode I of the Loonie Dreadful serialization of Supervillain, and kelpqueen had to buy back some of my author's copies because all the ones at the booth had sold out - go me! (granted, there were only about thirty of them printed to start with.) Partied, knitted about 3/4 of a sweater, was invited to submit to Doorways magazine, identified myself to John C. Hay and Nicole J. LeBoeuf as the designer of the Knithuhlu. Anyway, more details and pix later, it's late - good thing I have tomorrow morning off for a dental checkup and don't have to get up at my usual weekday time of 5:45 am..
