RIP Bev

We visited Bev in hospital today, though she was unconscious - after her daughter had arrived in town a few days before and she had said her goodbyes, she'd basically been put into a pallatiative coma. Just now we got home to a phone message from her son that she'd died about half an hour after our visit. He asked us about organizing a wake, and we're going to call him back in the morning and suggest dedicating the next First Thursday SF pub to her memory. Those of you who know us or knew Bev Slade in RL, it's Nov 2nd at the Fox's Den on Bay St.

Addenda - Bev's family is still setting a date for the funeral, but they'll be having a get-together afterwards at Orwell's pub (Bloor and Islington). First Thurday is still dedicated to her memory for those who knew her, however.
