Best quote yet heard today (ok, it's only 8:05):

Radio show guy: "That was music from Stravinsky's Firebird - "Princesses at play with the golden apples." Next up is the march from Prokofiev's Love for Three Oranges. What was it with 20th century Russian composers and fruit? you may ask -- they were hungry."

And that (besides the lack or commercials) is why I listen to CBC radio.

All right, all right, some pirate-themed things:

First, I forgot to mention during the summer that I'd seen a guy in an eyepatch riding a little electric scooter through Parkdale with a freaking parrot in a cage balanced on the handlebars; almost as good as that guy who used to have a team of huskeys (well, two) towing his wheelchair.
