Sunday green_trilobite and I did our annual going-to-the-Ex-on-opening-weekend-so-we-can-get-a-free-pass-to-come-back. It's better to go twice so you don't have to rush to see everything in one day. The best thing yesterday. The best thing we saw yesterday was the raptor demonstration. Kestrels are extremely cute in a fierce sort of way, but the one in the show at least was very loud and never shut up (he was named "Mick Jagger" for this reason).

Am I the only one who finds it amusing that the Craft Show has a get-your-head-scanned-with-lasers-and-we'll-carve-your-image-in-a-crystal booth and a hand-cut-silhouette booth in the *same building*? They also had someone outside sculpting little 3D caricature busts in clay.
