May Day

I almost didn't bother going to High Park to see the morris dancers this a.m., but upon checking my query on the subject, posted earlier in the week, I found it had been answered by a lot of people I don't even know, so I felt honour-bound to attend. It actually wasn't so much "near the parking lot" as "in the middle of a road," and as dawn gave way to morning the dancers kept having to scramble to let cars pass (the cars of course had to wait if they pulled up in the middle of a dance), and it struck me Canada out to have some sort of road-hockey-morris-dance combination activity.

As a bonus, my camera battery rallied long enough to get photos of herons catching fish in Grenadier Pond.
