it appears im channeling archie the cockroach this evening

it thaws
the air touches my face without its claws

now that i can step outside without gritting my teeth
and my mind

i can think out of doors again
and the people are more
than shadows again
and the shadows are places again

little worlds are everywhere
and i want to go sightseeing

lets walk streets of trees
and step over thresholds of other peoples lawns
lets hide beneath their shrubberies
and make love behind their garages
lets be close enough to touch the amber bubbles around their lives
and then not touch them

we can keep our coats on

I feel prety much the same way, I've spent a lot of time the past few days just walking in the sunshine, not going anywhere particular.
