Randall Monroe of xkcd has tried creating a chat channel with a moderatorbot that (temporarily) removes anyone who posts a sentence that has been already been used on the channel in the past two years. There are also human moderators to deal with trolls, flaming, etc, but the bot's job is to cut down exact repetition of jokes, as well as statements like "Yes I agree" with no further elaboration.
