The BiPolarBear is still recovering from having to be Santa at the housing co-op kids' xmas party Saturday. Or rather from having to be Santa in the late afternoon after having spent the earlier part of the day listening to the neighbour and her sister screaming at each other; and having called the cops in case things got violent. They'd stopped throwing things, or whatever it was, by the time the police showed up, but they were still loud enough to get a ticket for excessive noise. We heard the neighbour in the hall demanding evidence that she'd been shouting. "Who called you? Can they prove it? do they have my voice on tape?!"
"Ma'am, we could hear you when we got here!"
Now we have to be extra quiet in case they try to retaliate by calling the cops on us. Thank goodness they're moving at the end of the month.
"Santa's a little frazzled," I whispered to the head of the Social commitee, "the polar bears next door were acting up." Luckily things went well with the kids. I obviously can't post the pictures I took, because of privacy concerns and all, but they're really cute. I particularly like the one of the BipolarBear pointing to the boy in the "I'm with Stoopid" T-shirt......
