Well, the placing-of-MiL-in-crisis-care has been greatly sped up, since she fell and put her head through the drywall while wandering in the middle of the night. I think the wall took more damage than she did, but it was a reason to take her to Emergency, and they're looking for a temporary ward to put her in. Later in the day, green_trilobite and I went out together for the first time in months, and he photographed kelp_queen's reading at Bakka.

Still balanced between guilt and relief, but definitely tipping towards the latter.

I think it's very clear that she requires more help than you can provide. It's sad that it's worked out this way, but you guys have done everything you could and I don't think you have anything to feel guilty about.

Thanks - I should note, for when you see us next, that telling green_trilobite not to feel guilty about something just makes him feel more guilty, so let him work the subject out on his own.
