On Sunday we also cleaned out the vacuum cleaner, and retrieved a cat toy that had got suck in a few weeks ago. When the machine was put back together, green_trilobite tried to vacuum off the dusty cat toy. It was immediately snatched from his fingers by the suction, and disappeared up the vacuum hose again. He insisted that this was not funny, but after watching me doubled over a counter-stool for a couple of minutes, he conceded that it was.

I'm forced to concur with you. Had I actually witnessed it, no doubt I would still be laughing. (Well, I am still laughing, but that's because I only just read about it.)
