I lost my partially-completed sweater on the way to work this morning, and after 20 min trying to track down the phone number of the McDonald's at Queen E and Roncesvalles, and finally giving up and calling the Edgewater Hotel next door and asking the guy at the front desk to go over and talk to them, I have to conclude it wasn't left there; which means I left it on the 505 streetcar - and I don't think I've ever managed to retrieve anything lost on the TTC despite all my inquiries to their Lost & Found Department. It's never anything particularly valuble, either - that's the frustrating part - it's usually stuff that's of no use to anyone but me, which means someone probably throws it away. Grr. Well, I'll start calling the Lost & Found this afternoon if they're open, and leave a description in advance even though they won't get the knitting till 72 hours after it's turned in, if it's turned in.

Thanks. green_trilobite says he'll check the lost & found for me tomorrow. Yesterday was frustrating all round, really - we bought an Ikea counter stool - normally I'm pretty good at putting Ikea stuff together, but this design wasn't up to their usual standards, and when I started to have trouble, green_trilobite got in on the attempt, and there was much screaming and yelling. Luckily we only got the one, since I wanted to make sure it was the right height. Now I have to return it and find some better stools of the same height.
