I went to the Old Paper Show at the CBC Barbara Frum atrium, and bought a pamphlet of recipes for appalling 1930s gelatin dishes with names like "Fish Rice Cream." Actually, most of the desserts do look worth trying, and I suspect even some of the salads and things aren't as bad as the macabre mid-century food photography makes them look....
