Found a YouTube post of Bob Godfrey’s The Do-It-Yourself Cartoon Kit (1961), which I hadn’t seen in decades. Surprised at how much of its proto-Monty-Python lines and proto-Terry-Gilliam animation I’d recalled correctly.

I had déjà vu from this object even though I am pretty sure I had not previously seen it just because of the animated Edwardian clip art style. I wonder how old that technique is. Its most successful contemporary manifestation for years has been Wondermark.

(reads Michael Bentine’s wikipedia page) I’d say Sutcliffe, as he left voluntarily and amicably by the looks of it; but he had a longer and weirder life than poor Stu.
