Some parts of Cold Lazarus would definitely be confusing if you hadn't watched Karaoke first. The bit where Dan sings (lip-synchs, really) 'Pennies From Heaven' and then shoots the owner of the karaoke bar, for instance.
Some of the other flashbacks, the point is that the dialogue is slightly (or very) different than it was when it originally happened.
